Prof. Dr. Maurus ReinkowskiProfessor
Maurus Reinkowski has been a professor at the University of Basel since 2010.
He studied at the Universities of LMU Munich, Bogazici Istanbul and Vienna. Following a fellowship at the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute (1995–1996) and two years as a lecturer at the Orient Institute Istanbul (1996–1998), he was an assistant professor at the University of Bamberg in 1998–2004. From 2004 to 2010 Maurus Reinkowski was at the University of Freiburg (Breisgau); 2008–2010 Senior Fellow at the School of History, Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies. Since 2010 corresponding member of the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. In the fall of 2015, visiting professor at Sabanci University, Istanbul.
