Language studies Arabic and Turkish

The approach to the history, culture and society of the Middle East is, among other things, through the philology of the modern languages Arabic and Turkish. In order to deepen and actively apply the language skills acquired outside of their studies, students are advised to spend time abroad. This not only sensitises the student's hearing and encourages speaking, but they also get to know different dialects and accents that people speak in everyday life.

The list below should serve as an orientation for those interested and help them find language schools. For further information and reports on experiences, the lectors Wolfgang Trimmel (Arabic) and Ebru Wittreck (Turkish) and the student council can be contacted.
